Chrysogonus Siddha #8 - Durma

Durma
~ eighth song ~

a butterfly
in a dance

flaps grace
on the breeze

to the north, to the south
on a flower, it stops

to the left, to the right
for a while, before wind

comes pushing away
sometimes returning

sometimes it strays
aimless, lacking any goal

a restless wandering
for days and for nights

dry, the one that withers
before still blooming flowers

  1. This is the eighth entry in the cycle. It is supposed to be about pain. Does it work? What about the connection to the other poems?

    Thank you

  2. I think it's hard to see from the poem itself that this is about pain, Chrys ...
once you tell us we can put it together ... but isn't it better for the poem to stand on its own, so that we know what it's about ?
